Central Valley Day

I spent 12 hours roaming around the Central Valley today. From breakfast at my best place (Yogurt Mill in Modesto for an Awake Shake) to a parade in Oakdale, backtracking to Riverbank for their small (and inexplicably early) Earth Day celebration, and then returning to Oakdale for lunch (at – not a joke – House of Beef) & the rodeo (plus a sweet, visually-appealing & cheap poster), I ended up wandering around the small town of Sonora (“Let’s just go north & see what happens,” he said, post-rodeo). It was a pleasurable (if tiring) day, full of (other than breakfast) activities not on my regular list of to-dos.

At the end of the night though, I ate leftovers & watched our current crime show on DVD. Wandering around the valley’s all well & good, but pajama pants, snuggling & a happy ending do it for me every time.
